Days Gone Overview
Days Gone is an open-world action-adventure game set two years after a global pandemic in the deserts of the Pacific Northwest. Players take on the role of Deacon Saint John the Baptist. The game’s vast landscapes range from dense forests and towering mountains to snow-capped peaks and volcanic fields, allowing players to explore a diverse and often inhospitable landscape. Players can harvest resources, craft weapons and tools, and interact with other survivors – some to trade, others to deal with threats.
The core of the game is intense encounters between opposing human factions and hordes of infected creatures known as “beasts”. To survive, players must use a variety of traps, weapons, and upgrades, relying heavily on Deacon’s motorcycle to navigate this ever-changing world. The environment changes according to the weather and day-night cycle, affecting enemy behavior and player strategies. Beyond its open world, Days Gone tells a compelling story about loss and survival, and what it means to be a lawyer in turbulent times. This PC version further enhances the gaming experience with features like ultrawide monitor support, smoother frame rates, and refined graphics, delivering a more detailed and immersive adventure.
